Fun Christian Alternatives to
Halloween
Not everyone wants to celebrate Halloween and if you are one
of these people I hope you will find the following simple alternatives useful to
make your night a family night not an evil night.
1. Rent a family movie that even the smallest child can watch
and enjoy.
2. Roast hotdogs and marsmallows, with your adult supervision
of course.
3. Play a board game that the whole family can
enjoy.
4.Make cupcakes that look like harvest scarecrows or just
plain orange pumpkins.
5. Decorate your home with natural fall items such as
straw/hay, pumpkins, gourds, leaves and acorns.
6. Make pumpkin pie or pumpkin bread.
7. Read Bible verses such as 2 Corinthians 4:6, John 12:46,
Matthew 9:37, 38.
9. Ask the family what type of fall activities that they would
enjoy.
These do not have to be done on the actual night of Halloween
but can be done during the season when all you see are scary decorations that
always scare small children and are creepy to most adults if they would just
admit it and stop following along with what the general public does. If you feel
pressured by your family, friends and co - workers to celebrate Halloween simply
tell them you are doing what you feel is right for your family and they need to
do what they feel is right for their family. Just stand up for your beliefs and
you will be fine.
